Parade towel consists of 31 hand-woven and industrially produced linen towels, sewn together into a patchwork. 26 of the towels carry hand-embroidered emblems, of which one belongs to my own family, embroidered by my grandmother as a wedding gift to my parents. Some of the towels have been worn thin and hollow during the years while others are virtually unused, with press folds that speaks of years of laying neatly folded in various textile cabinets. Additionally the work consists of 3 guest towels and 2 towels produced by the Swedish states armed forces, since 1978 renamed to the national defense.
